Rick Cummings Photographer
Rick is a fine art and commercial photographer in Boulder Colorado. Since 1988, he has worked with local and national companies commercially and shows his fine art photography at a range of galleries in colorado. He uses his camera to explore a subject which influences his fine art, commercial, portrait and fashion work.
Rick started Fashionista Photo doing personal fashion shoots for everyday people. He also founded Body Form Photo Workshop, teaching classes in nude and portrait photography; Rick’s studio is in Boulder, CO.
“My inspiration to do personal fashion shoots for real people came in two forms; one is seeing how much effort and satisfaction my wife (voted the best dressed woman in my house) gets from what she wears and how she presents herself. It is a form of expression that affects her entire attitude about the day (after all, how can you be in a bad mood if you look fantastic?!). The other is from photographing fine art nudes. After a photo session my models say how much they enjoyed the shoot. They feel empowered, appreciated and respected: "I felt like a goddess".
What I love about fashion photography is the coming together of creating a mood with lighting, composition, clothing, styling and personality to make a beautiful and / or interesting image. I want to capture and reflect back to you your personal elegance and beauty.”
