Your Photographer

My name is Rick Cummings, your photographer at Fashionista Photo. I have been doing commercial and fine art photography since 1989.  

My inspiration to do personal fashion shoots for real people came in two forms; one is seeing how much effort and satisfaction my wife (voted the best dressed woman in my house) gets from what she wears and how she presents herself. It is a form of expression that affects her entire attitude about the day (after all, how can you be in a bad mood if you look fantastic?!). The other is from photographing fine art nudes. After a photo session my models say how much they enjoyed the shoot.   They feel empowered, appreciated and respected: "I felt like a goddess".  

What I love about fashion photography is the coming together of creating a mood with lighting, composition, clothing, styling and personality to make a beautiful and / or interesting image. I want to capture and reflect back to you your personal elegance and beauty.
